BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – January 12, 2012 – The FIS World Cup Ski Cross is back at Blue Mountain Resort for a third season. New this year, World Snowsports Events Group is pleased to announce the addition of Snowboardcross to the 2012 World Cup event program. While Blue Mountain has become a regular and successful stop on the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup circuit, the 2012 LG Snowboardcross FIS World Cup is making its first ever visit to Ontario. The FIS World Cup Tour will electrify Blue Mountain with these thrilling and spectator-friendly events February 1-8, 2012.
Blue Mountain Opens More Trails End-to-End Skiing and Snowboarding on the Most Terrain in Ontario
BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – December, 28, 2011 – Blue Mountain is set to open the Resort end-to-end on Thursday, December 29, 2011, as Mother Nature blanketed the region with snow. Blue Mountain is opening trails and lifts across the mountain, providing skiers and snowboarders with the most available and diverse terrain in Ontario.
Blue Mountain Resort Opens for the 2011/2012 Winter Season
BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – Dec, 17, 2011 – Blue Mountain Resort officially kicked off the 2011/2012 winter season, as it opened its slopes to ski and snowboard enthusiasts seeking their first tracks of the year. Mother Nature didn’t quite cooperate in early December, but our patience and hard work paid off as the Resort opened with a solid base, 2 runs and 2 lifts – setting us up for another great winter at Blue.

BLUE MOUNTIANS, ON – December 5, 2011 – The Resort is ready for winter, but Mother Nature isn’t cooperating just yet! While the region has had a few snowfalls, Blue Mountain is waiting for consistent winter weather before opening for the season. As such, our projected opening day has been moved to Thursday, December 15th, 2011 (weather and conditions permitting) and we’ll be ready once the cold temperatures inevitably come!
Blue Mountain Resort Plays Host to the Montreal Canadiens
BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – October 5, 2011 – Canada’s second favourite winter sport took centre ice at Blue Mountain this week as the Resort played host the Montreal Canadiens. In preparation for the upcoming NHL season, the club travelled to beautiful Georgian Bay for a team building retreat to wrap-up their pre-season activities.
A Downhill Thrill at Blue Mountain Resort!
BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – September 6, 2011 – Ontario’s top Downhill (DH) Mountain Bike riders descended down the trails at Blue Mountain Resort this past weekend, as Blue Mountain hosted the 2011 Ontario DH Provincial Championships on September 3 and 4. The race was presented by Sirbikealot Racing and supported by the Ontario Cycling Association.

The 2011 East Coast Open Provides Excitement at Blue Mountain Resort!
BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – August 17, 2011 — Blue Mountain Resort, in partnership with Sirbikealot Racing, hosted the second-annual East Coast Open Mountain Bike Race and Expo this past weekend. Riders from all skill levels took to the trails at Blue Mountain from August 12-14 to compete for Canada’s largest purse of more than $15,000 in cash and prizing.
The event was a huge success, with participants from as far as South Africa traveling to Blue Mountain to compete in this annual event. Blue Mountain is home to the largest downhill Mountain Bike facility in Ontario. The 226 metres of vertical, and terrain varying from open Canadian Shield to wooded single-track trails, made for some exciting action, while Blue Mountain’s trail and events team worked tirelessly to ensure that trails were in pristine shape for the competitors.

FIS FREESTYLE WORLD CUP SKI CROSS RETURNS TO ONTARIO
COLLINGWOOD, Ontario (Jan. 4, 2011) – The Rockstar Ski Cross Grand Prix hosted at Blue Mountain Resort – part of the FIS Freestyle World Cup – is returning to Southern Ontario bringing with it the “hottest” ski cross team on the planet, the Canadians.
Canadian ski racer Ashleigh McIvor – who won the hearts of Canadians when she made history by winning the first-ever Olympic ski cross event last spring – is headlining a red hot Canadian squad when they return to Blue Mountain February 10-11, 2011 event. McIvor’s teammates, including Kelsey Serwa who picked her sixth career podium in San Cadido, Italy at the season opening race, are considered the strongest team on the world circuit.
NEW OPENING DAY UPDATE!
Dec. 7, 2010 – Thanks to consistent snowfall and cold temperatures since last Friday as well as to the hard work from our snowmaking and grooming teams, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve changed our opening day for skiing and snowboarding to Thursday, December 9, 2010.
We’re anticipating a total of more than 80 cm of natural snowfall accumulation by Thursday, enhancing the on-hill experience with plenty of powder. For Snowmaking and Grooming operations, their efforts have been focused on packing down light snow so that we have a quality base to start the season with. For skiers and snowboarders joining us towards the end of the week, this means powder days ahead!
Opening Day Update
Dec. 6, 2010 – With weather and conditions on our side for snowmaking throughout this week, Blue Mountain Resort is pleased to announce an opening day of Friday, December 10, 2010.
Over 30 cm of natural snow is expected to fall within the next 48 hours, adding to the already abundant natural snowfall. In addition, the largest snowmaking system in Canada, capable of producing 1 ft. acre of snow per 16 minutes; and our specialized crew of Snowmakers and Groomers are hard at work to establish optimal snow conditions.
Canadian Olympians to Lead Centurion in Collingwood
September 9, 2010 (The Town of the Blue Mountains, ON) — In just over a week in the Town of the Blue Mountains, the inaugural Centurion Canada Cycling event will take place. The weekend of September 18th – 19th will see Canadian Olympic Gold Medalists Simon Whitfield and Adam Van Koeverden leading the Centurion participants through the scenic and challenging course. Whitfield was the 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist in the triathlon while Van Koeverden earned gold and silver medals at the Athens Olympics in 2004 in the sport of kayaking, both went on to claim another Olympic medal in Beijing.

April 22, 2010 (Blue Mountains, ON) — North American Sports, the people who created the Subaru
Triathlon Series and eight Ironman events in the U.S. and Canada, are excited to officially announce

Keep Winter Cool
As we head towards beautiful March
Break we are reminded that winter is sadly nearing its end. Those of us who
enjoy winter sports must agree that snow is an essential part of the season.
Reminding us to do our part to preserve winter, the resort’s annual Keep Winter
Cool event will be held during March Break on Wednesday, March 17th in the
Village at Blue from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Keep Winter Cool aims to raise
awareness about the potential effects of climate change and encourage skiers and
snowboarders to start taking steps to reduce their own environmental impact.
Spring Skiing and Golf
Who says there’s nothing to do in April! This
Easter weekend, spend a morning on the slopes with spring snow and beautiful
sunshine followed by an afternoon on the golf course! Enjoy an exclusive weekend of
both! Weather and conditions permitting, the hills will be open for another weekend of
spring skiing and riding, Saturday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 4th.

FIS WORLD SKI CROSS COMING TO ONTARIO
COLLINGWOOD, Ontario (Dec. 8, 2009) – The International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup tour is finally coming to Southern Ontario.
The Rockstar Ski Cross Grand Prix hosted at Blue Mountain Resort, part of the FIS Freestyle World Cup, will showcase the world’s best ski cross racers – including Canadian World Cup and World Championship medalists – just weeks before the 2010 Winter Olympic Games on Jan. 19-20, 2010.

The 2010 Freestyle FIS World Cup Ski Cross, also known as the Rockstar Grand Prix, is
to be officially announced at Blue Mountain Resort, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 11:00
a.m.. Making its Olympic debut at the 2010 Vancouver Games, this freestyle skiing event
features four skiers racing simultaneously down a technically demanding course. Blue
Mountain Resort will host the Rockstar Grand Prix in January, the first World Cup level
snow sports event in Southern Ontario and the final World Cup event prior to the
Vancouver 2010 Games.
WEEKEND OPENING OF MONTERRA GOLF AT BLUE MOUNTAIN RESORT
The grass is still green and the crisp fall air is still lingering. Green season at Blue Mountain
is back for one more round at Monterra Golf. Friday, November 20th through Sunday,
November 22nd, weather and conditions permitting, Monterra Golf opens for mid-day
rounds of late fall golf.

Ski Resorts Take Aim at Reducing Vehicle Emissions
With support from Natural
Resources Canada (NRCan), the Ontario Snow Resorts Association (OSRA) has
launched a pilot program to cut vehicle emissions and improve air quality by reducing
engine idling at ski resorts.

Employee Bike Share Program
Blue Mountain Resort employees can now sign out a bike for short commutes to meetings and to make their way across the 2.5 mile property thanks to the Employee Bike Share Program that launched on July 22 2009.

Opening of Monterra Golf at Blue Mountain Resort
Green season has arrived! Friday, April 24th at 9:00 a.m., weather and conditions
permitting, is the official opening day of Monterra Golf at Blue Mountain Resort.
Monterra Golf, one of Ontario’s premiere resort courses, was designed as a traditional links
course, encompassing rolling bent grass fairways, razorback mounding, 86 bunkers, seven
lakes, ravines, creeks and some spectacular elevated tee shots.

Blue Mountain re-opens for another spring weekend on the slopes
The garden can wait…spring is in the air and snow is still on the slopes allowing
us to re-open for another weekend of skiing and riding under the sun. Weather
and conditions permitting, the central area of the resort will be open, Saturday,
April 18th and Sunday, April, 19th, 2009.

The Fourth Annual Frozen Rail Jam, December 15th, 2007
Prepare for another exciting season of mountain events with the Frozen Rail Jam (FRJ) sponsored by K2 Snowboarding, SBC Skier and Snowboard Canada Magazine. Held on December 15, 2007 at Blue Mountain Resort, this is Ontario’s Ski/ Snowboard competition season opener. This competition has a live rock show feel, featuring a brilliant light show overhead freshly painted rails with a mandatory daytime rail slide qualifier and intense evening rail jam final.

PEPSI March Break 2008 at Blue Mountain Resort
March 10th through 14th Blue Mountain Resort is all set for some much anticipated March Break fun! This March Break the resort will offer a variety of special programs for children and families. Youth aged 6-17 ski and snowboard for only $37 day and night throughout this special events week! 2007/2008 Seasons Pass Spring Renewal
Collingwood, March 2008 – Following an incredible winter season Blue Mountain Resort
has announced an exciting new offer to its existing Pass Holders. Effective immediately
until April 18th, 2008, Blue Mountain is announcing a spring renewal for Seasons Pass
Holders who held a pass during the 2007/2008 winter season. Pass Holders who renew
on or before April 18th, 2008 are able to do so for less than the 2008/2009 early bird rates.
In addition, 5x7, Super Pass and Night Value Pass Holders will also receive a package of
special summer benefits that are available only to those pass holders who renew on or
before April 18th.
